SYANGBOCHE – The roof of the world has a new champion! In a defining moment for extreme sports history, Everest Skydive is thrilled to announce that Olga Naumova has officially entered the Guinness World Records. Her breathtaking performance above the peaks has shattered the ceiling of what is possible, marking a monumental victory for Olga, our team, and the spirit of Himalayan adventure.
While the jump was successfully executed during the 18th annual Everest Skydive event in November 2025, the achievement received its official certification this week. We are incredibly proud to confirm that the “Highest Altitude Skysurf Jump” now belongs to Olga Naumova and the skies of Nepal.

The Record-Breaking Feat
On November 10, 2025, amidst the thin air and towering peaks, Naumova boarded an AS350 B3 helicopter operated by our exclusive partner, Fishtail Air. Ascending from the Syangboche drop zone, she exited the aircraft at a staggering altitude of 20,945 ft (6,384 m).
Surfing the sky is no simple task. Unlike traditional skydiving, Naumova required absolute technical mastery to control a board attached to her feet while freefalling at terminal velocity. Battling high-altitude winds and sub-zero temperatures, she executed a flawless 8,000 ft (2,438 m) freefall before deploying her parachute and landing safely at Syangboche (12,356 ft / 3,766 m).
Powered by an Elite Crew
A record of this magnitude requires a world-class team. This historic jump was made possible by the flawless logistics of Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure and the expertise of our elite crew.
Led by technical veterans including Paul Henry de Baere, Nadezhda Solovyeva, Jean Philippe Audhuy, Alberto Avalis and Omar Alhegelan, the crew provided the critical safety, precision, and aerial support needed to turn this ambitious dream into a Guinness World Record. Their dedication ensures that Everest Skydive remains the most premium and safe high-altitude adventure on the planet.
“Bold Dreams” & A Big Congratulations
A 15-year veteran of the sport with over 17,000 skydives, Naumova’s jump was the realization of a lifelong ambition.
“Since I discovered skysurfing, it was my dream to perform a very unique skydive and to inspire girls around the world not to be scared to be bold and to dream big.” – Olga Naumova, Guinness World Record Holder
Congratulations, Olga! Your courage and skill have inspired us all. You have officially etched your name into the history of the Himalayas.
Highlights of a Historic Season
The 2025 edition of Everest Skydive was a landmark event from start to finish. Beyond the world record, the event saw 48 successful jumps completed by elite solo adventurers from the USA, Italy, Romania, France, and Thailand.
We also celebrated a spectacular tribute by Thailand’s Dr. Tanaboworn Sirikunakornkun. Known as “Super Toom,” he set a national record by flying a massive 150 square meter Thai flag over the Ama Dablam and Syangboche drop zones, becoming the first Thai national to jump with a flag of that size at such an altitude.
Join the Legacy in 2026 With the 2025 season now “Officially Amazing,” the countdown has begun for the 19th Annual Everest Skydive in 2026.
